New Members Class
Beginning october 8th...
Fr. Chris will be leading the church in a new members class after the service. Each class will last approximately 25-30 minutes. The purpose is to acquaint everyone who is interested in formally joining Covenant Anglican Church with the main characteristics of our community life. Of course, this will involve doctrinal matters, but not exclusively so.
We will discuss ecclesiastical affiliation, history, structure, liturgy, congregational responsibilities, mission / ministry, etc.
This is an opportunity to become a bit more familiar as to "who" and "what" and "why" of our Anglican and historical faith.
For those attending these classes, you are encouraged to begin reading J.I. Packer's book, Concise Theology. An excellent book! We will not cover this material per se during the class, but it is a very good introduction to the biblical and theological commitments of Christian orthodoxy, not to mention Covenant Anglican. I hope you find it helpful in many ways; and it is my intention to discuss the book in a Q&A format in both the Men's Group and Women's Bible Study in the weeks to come.
