Nursery and Children’s Chapel
Children are a vital part of the life of our church and it is our joy to bless them and be blessed by them. We celebrate the presence of children in our church service (noises and all!) and we encourage their participation in every part of it.
Just before the sermon our priest prays a blessing for all the children in the room, after which they may, if desired, join the children’s teachers for their own time of worship and care during the sermon. At that time we offer nursery care for children ages 3 and under, where they can play with warm and attentive caregivers and meet Jesus through prayer, story, and song. Children ages 4-9 are welcome to attend children’s chapel during the sermon, where they will spend time praying, exploring God’s Word through story, games, and memorization, and responding to God’s work in their hearts and lives through conversation and art. These programs are open to both members and visitors.
